Residential rooms in containers

Polaroil is an independent business under KNI A/S (Greenland Trade), which has the task of purchasing, transporting, storing, distributing, and selling liquid fuels throughout Greenland all year round.

One of the distribution centers is located in Thule, which is known to be quite cold. In addition to the weather, KNI’s lack of facilities was becoming increasingly problematic.

DC-Supply’s task, was to provide a residential room with a so-called self-sufficient toilet. It had to be able to keep itself warm, even if the thermometer outside shows minus 45 degrees Celsius. It was therefore obvious that it would be necessary to install an oil burner in the resident compartment.

This meant that KNI found an economical solution to their problems that provided KNI employees with a safe and comfortable environment on the job.
